Programme Objectives
Macao is experiencing a period of very rapid social and economic development. Psychological professionals with advanced academic and research training who are familiar with local conditions are needed to help our citizens. Such training is currently not available in society. The discipline of psychology is one of the most popular and one of the most needed areas of study around the world. The goal is to meet this need through the offering of advanced psychological training to develop the talents of individuals both locally and from the Mainland China.
Programme Intended Learning Outcomes
- Characterize the nature of psychology in science and practice.
- Comprehend, synthesize and reproduce psychology’s core foundation content domains.
- Engage in innovative and integrative applications to solve problems.
- Express ideas effectively by writing and speaking in multiple formats.
- Apply knowledge base and scientific thinking skills in academic settings.
Admission Requirements
- Applicants should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree, possession of Master’s degree or equivalent will be an advantage;
- Applicants should have earned at least 3.0 on a 4-point GPA scale or equivalent.
Period of Study
The normal period of study is 4 academic years.
Graduation Requirements
Students must submit an original thesis and pass the oral defence of their theses to graduate.
